Acutech Network Services now offers an Internet-based,
Remote Backup Service (RBS) which reliably maintains a copy of all your
important data off-site and without the daily hassel of swapping tapes.
Highlights of the Remote Backup Service include:

- All data is encrypted using 448 bit encryption prior to leaving
your network. It remains encrypted on our servers and is never decrypted
until you need to restore a file.

- Once setup, there is nothing for you to do. No tapes to change.
No transporting tapes or disks on and off site..
- Fast
- Backups are cached on a local disk at your location. Should you
need to perform a restore, our software will retrieve your information
from our backup servers only if it cannot find it in the local cache..

- Your backup data is available to you 7 x 24. No more hunting for
tapes when you need immediate access to your data to perform a restore.
- Efficient
- RBS makes efficient use of Internet Bandwidth. After the initial
backup, only the changed portion of modified files are encrypted,
compressed and then sent to our sercvers over the Internet..
- Versatile
- Acutech's RBS backs up all standard Windows files, SQL databases,
Exchange data stores (Exchange email messages and attachments), and
the server's System State. ( NOTE: RBS does not backup open files.)
- Easy To Use
- Files are restored using an easy to use, Windows Explorer-like interface.
- File History/Version
Support - By default, our service stores 7 days of
history for all files. In the event a file needs to be restored, you
will be able to restore from the latest backup or any of the 6 previous
days.
Available Packages
Acutech's Remote Backup Service is priced based on the amount of data
protected. The service is available in a number of packages ranging
from a 5 GB package up to a 200 GB package. The service may be purchased
on a month to month basis or with an annual service agreement. The annual
service agreements provide 12 months of service for the price of 10
months and all setup fees are waived.
